Trying to create playlists to allow the two car's iPod kits to see my entire music collection and it crashes every 10 minutes or so losing whatever work I'd done in the meantime.

So much for Apple's software quality control :headbang:
 
On a Mac or PC?

If you quit & restart iTunes regularly then it saves the library/playlists so you don't lose as much.
 
I thought so.

It's just Apple getting back at Microsoft for giving Mac users a buggy/feature-reduced version of MS Office.

Anyway iTunes has run like a dog on windows forever... But also depends on you toplap, its quite a resource hog. Quit everything and start again :thumbsup:
 
I'm no fanboy of either OS and its swings and roundabouts with browser and media software - But these vendors need each other, as M$ need Apple as much as Apple need M$.

With VDI and cloud computing becoming mainstream I can only see these ties getting stronger and hence why Citrix and M$ push each others products.

I can see vendors developing software that is browser based which isnt locked down to OS type, even local data caching being something of the past.

He did indeed, most embarrassing piece of Apple PR when bill gates arrives on the projector screen jobs was seriously gritting his teeth. But behind the scenes is different I think, Gates designed the first OS for Apple, long relationship there.

Difference is Apple ran with it and Microsoft just relied on the actual amount of PCs out there which was an obvious mistake, reliance instead of innovation.
