A No Brainer!!

Having my first holiday in over three years in San Fransisco at the moment. Staying in Air B n B’s to keep costs down but which are lovely, and rented a car for the 8 days which was a Focus or similar that turned out to be a Hyundai Accent.

Any way as we pick up the car at the airport the sales desk person asked if I might like to upgrade at a cost so I enquire how much extra a Mustang GT will be. 60 dollars a day extra he says!! I huff and puff and explain to him I could have booked it for that price from the start and I’d already paid 30 dollars a day for the Hyundai,

So he looks at the screen and says, how about one of these for 20 dollars extra a day? I think for all of 1 second and say “YES” before he changes his mind.

I should’ve asked them to remove the front lip spoiler covers though
This car sounds completely bonkers! Video of me driving through a tunnel with a face like a buffoon to follow :D :driving:

Lovely - that's so much better than a Hyundai Accent!

50 dollars a day for that is well worth it 8) bet it sounds fantastic.
I put the gearbox in to manual this morning and gave it the full beans up to maximum revs before I changed gear. The exhaust sound as you change gear is mental, like an explosion. Never driven anything like this before so a new experience. Being left hand drive and wide it’s quite intimidating for me, but I have to say I’m loving it. I can understand the appeal of muscle cars.

The roads are ate up with the new American muscle cars right now. Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, and Demons. They pretty affordable and very popular. Crazy HP and much improved handling - I got one but, after the novelty wears off the Zed is more fun to drive to me.

We really loved our driving holiday a couple of years back, started in San Fran then drove down to LA over 2 weeks. Plenty to see and do there.
We had a Neeson (Nissan) saloon for our wheels.
Enjoy

Yes I’ve seen plenty around too, and some lovely old ones too. It drives and ride well, nice steering wheel, funky dash. I’m not that experienced with autos but kicks down well and manual mode is responsive.Haven’t taken it on any twisties yet but will do today.

I need to dig the photos out, but one memory that will remain with me was coming out of Sausalito on an open top tour bus and coming down on to the golden gate bridge with this being played over the speakers..pure magic
