Like wise, I keep getting comments from friends and strangers saying "beautifull car". I think the Z4 just has so much impact and drama about the way it looks, Chris Bangle got this one right.

The thing is - the best view from my perspective it when you see one coming towards you on the otherside of the road, to my eyes far more dramatic & purposeful than any other car of its type. I'm not pretending a Ferrari or other such supercar isn't more dramatic, but for the money I don't think anything else has the drama.

i have also had some good comments, like women at random saying, "what a lovely car" etc...however, since i fitted the new rims i would say that the interest and the double takes from passers by has almost doubled !....Still see people walking past and looking at the badge on the back to find out what it is...
On the other side though, i get comments from people at work saying "...they must pay you too much.." i also never have the roof down at work as people think i am showing off, always put the roof up round the corner from the office so nobody see's me...
People must think it costs more than it does which is a good thing as it does feel like a bargain for the enjoyment it gives. I bet if i spent the same money on a newer ford focus/vw golf nobody would say a word !

I feel so conspicuous with the hood down coming into work, I just can't do it. It doesn't help that we've all been put on a 20% pay cut for 3 months just after I bought the car, so the last thing I want is to appear like a flash harry. Timing has never been my strong point.Bradders75

I took your advice and left work with the roof down for the first time in the month I've owned the car. My project manager shouted 'w*nker' at me as I drove past him. Mind you, I think he'd have done that if I'd been in a hard top car.

Funny, working in the construction industry as a designer, i say that to project managers all the time.

I know what you're saying but I don't let it stop me putting the roof down, I guess it helps that I had an MR2 roadster before so got use to arriving roof down (no electric hood, no option). Anyone that says w*anker is either jelous or just joking, either way their loss not mine.
