A new Z owner from essex....

Hi all,

A little introduction to myself, I recently have got a new job in London and so it was time to say 'bye bye' to my loved but sensible Scirocco GT TDI 170bhp, paddle shift and get a weekend motor for a bit of fun and enjoyment of driving again.

:thumbsup: It was a no brainer for me to go for a Z4 after falling in love with them a few years back, so the juicy bit that I know you are all waiting for, what I ended up purchasing...

I ended up going for a 2.0i SE 55 plate Z4 sterling grey (was one of 3 with this spec for sale in the country) 2.0l mainly due to insurance as I am only 20! The insurance for this is £650 fully comp just for reference.

It has had one previous owner, 50k on the clock, Z4M seat upgrade, electric seats, heated seats, professional BMW sat nav, TV and DVD player.

I plan on eventually putting the Z4M front bumper on this and a double barrel like exhaust.

I am also looking on advice regarding rear light upgrades as well as brighter headlights maybe a HID kit?
So far I have changed the ugly amber side repeaters for clear ones (re using the old roundels), ordered my stubby and plan on removing the badges for engine designation and the Z4 logo on the boot tomorrow for a cleaner sportier look. EDIT: also going to spray my grill gloss black at the weekend...

One problem however! Driving home today not thrashing it sitting at mph my EML came on? No loss of power drives fine? Any ideas what this could be? I am taking it back to dealer where I got it tomorrow.

Hi and welcome as I was a couple of weeks ago.No idea about EML but someone will be along shortly to help.
 
Welcome to tiger forum, Mine did similar shortly after I bought mine. It was a split hose. Not very expensive and was able to drive for 3 days till the part arrived.

Wish I could comment on the EML but I can't offer any suggestions. If it's driving fine sounds like it will be a simple fix - fingers crossed. Welcome btw and I feel the modding bug is strong in you. Must be something in the Essex air!

Yes in reply to Scotty I have a lot lined up for this I just need to stretch my wallet and pockets oh and persuade the mrs haha....
