A new member to the family!!

Hi all i couldn't control myself any longer and ive had to buy a escort mk1, its no ordinary one though!

heres the spec from the advert

1968 MK1 Ford Escort Cosworth

Cosworth YB Engine stage 3 with green injectors producing 350bhp

The front of this car is space framed and part of the roll cage and the rest of the car.

Car has been built as a historic rally car with a list of specifications:

Flip Front Bonnet
Space frame and roll cage
Quaife LSD + box
Group 4 suspension
Aluminium tank in the boot
Cosworth discs with Renault Callipers
Stage 3 Cosworth YB Engine Green Injectors
Magnesium Compomotive wheels
Full Scorpion Exhaust system
Cobra 4 point harness and bucket seats
Cibie head lamps with covers

it does need some love, first thing to sort is the split intercooler pipe and get a new full exhaust system as the one on it is awful and blowing like hell, once its running ok im going to strip it and get it painted, oh yeah and the zed and the M3 are staying!!

Absolutely fantastic

My wife's cousin is married to Matt Clark, son of Roger Clark, and he built a MK1 bubble arch for the London to Sydney Rally, he took me out in it and it was awesome :driving: you'll have some fun with yours I'm sure

I'll txt him, although it was a few years ago, it was white with Red Decals, all the fuel/brake lines ran inside the car, no carpets and iirc he said it cost £65K to do :driving:

That's gona be fun on some dirt. Did a rally day a few years back, in an old Mexico. :D
