A new black thats darker than black

Sorry if I missed a post about this but it turns out there's a new black well just watch this...

Can you imagine driving a Prius colored in this at night while over taking people? :rofl:
 
So...If you crumple up the material you can't tell because you can't see the differing edges of light. Therefore if you were to paint your car with it what would your car look like???? If you can't see the differing surfaces/angles/flowing lines because of the properties of this stuff, what would it look like?????

Its not blacker than black, it's just almost true black. Everything else you can see that you think of as black is merely very dark grey.
Then at the other end you have white, which is kinda light grey and you can get whiter than white....

As for painting a car in that stuff, it would look like a cardboard cut out black hole in the profile of your car. i.e you wouldn't be able to see any shape detail, just the outline, so in theory you would be able to see the shut lines or door handles and it would be even harder to work out where the bonnet ends when sitting inside it.

Well non scientifically speaking its darker than black. For all of us people that hurt our brains just trying to wrap our minds around it :poke: and as for painting the car it would be funny just seeing a black cutout of a car in a sense and seeing a guy driving it on a dark road. :rroad.just think about what you just described but it driving past you on a dark road. Or even a bugatti flying past you almost redlining. :driving:
 
I would still like to see a car painted in the stuff. Just to see or not see what it would or wouldn't look like. Would you actually be "seeing it" if it absorbs that much light or would you "not be seeing it"?? Just be aware of it as a "hole" in the ambient surroundings. Very clever stuff though..

Not confused as such, just perplexed, intrigued even..
