Life is feeling really rather good about now

Not sure if you still have the same cars you had last time i was over (i dont think either were baby suited!) .. but does baby monkey give you an excuse for a 'practical' (new) car ? ;)

Something to do during that paternity time! :D

Yes we still have both highly unsuitable cars!! I don't have the air bad off switch in mine either. I think I am going to have to retro fit one.

We are going to see how we get on. We can get the 3 of us in the TT but it's not ideal. It's on a 3 year deal we looked into swapping it but it wasn't cost effective. I would like for Sam to keep the TT and buy a touring for me so mine is a weekend/track car. But I suspect we will swap it for another ford Kuga.

Mrs monkey did say if I can get a good deal there maybe some cash a couple of thousand for another car for me. I am thinking either 330 e46 320 e89 if I can get one. Or pusibly an st220???

Ooooo an ST220 nice
Back when I was a family guy I had my Mondeo ST TDCi and was always envious of the ST220 boys with their petrol engines and their double tailpipes and there 220 horses

Both Evo and Carfection have had the ST TDCi estates as long term loaners, seem like decent cars for a family.

I'd definitely be trying to think of any way i could use an incoming child to justify a hot hatch of sorts. Perhaps that's just me. :D

They seem to be a fair amount of bang for your buck. Fairly solid and ok performance? What did you think of the mondeo?

I found it to be a very practical 5 door family hatch - mine had all the toys too; Xenons, heated seats etc. Had it remapped which made a huge difference, as you know turbo diesels really benefit from a remap.

I am very keen on one to be honest. Reliable quick enough and probably cheep trouble free motoring. Plus if I buy a BM I will want to put wheels on swap this do that!! With a ford I don't think I will.

After a tricky delivery mum and daughter are doing well. Baby Pia was born at 12.36 on the same day as me in the same hospital 35 years later!

Congratulations Matt, hope Mum and daughter are doing well :D

I really don't fancy a hot hatch had them when they where pure 205 had a 5 turbo extremely briefly!! Plus I need/want a bigger car and I could pull my zed to tracks with a bigger car.
