A LONG shot - Blue Sport Seats?!? Trade for my Nappa Champers Sport or will buy :)

Hi all

This is a long shot

I've got a lovely Montego blue E85 Facelift. As weird as it sounds I would love to install blue sports seats and door cards in it. On the off chance is anyone selling a set? Preferably heated, not bothered about electrics...

I would trade for my existing heated manual nappa champagne ones plus cash your way ... Any blue or two tone invlolving blue would be considered :D

Here's a pic of the sort of thing I am after:

It seems to be fairly rare, most likely because it's revolting even though it appeals to my warped sense of taste :) :)

You are talking very very rare indeed. You would be better off getting a re-colouring kit from furniture clinic (about £80) and doing it yourself. I am thinking about doing the same in my Maldives roadster, maybe blue bolsters and leave the centre panels black.

Ha! Thanks for the advice but I wouldn't want to re-colour as it never looks right in my experience! "factory or bust" for me! :D

Fair enough, but they do the original factory colours if that helps. It might be the only may you get blue seats. Certainly their repair kits give a fantastic finish, so I would be equally confident in the re-colouring kits (obvs I would have a go on my ruined sofa first!)

I have used the Furniture Clinic stuff and it is very good although I've never attempted a recolour - It seems like a lot of work and has the risk of potentially ruining a nice set of seats, especially if I did it as I tend to be impatient and no matter how hard I'd try not to I'd still probably end up being slapdash on the prep!  Paying someone to do it might be a better option. Or just leaving as is!

It is possible that someone with a blue interior who doesn't really like it might fancy a change though!

I think the seats in that photo are Syrah Blue which looks lovely in the flesh. But it was a BMW Individual option so not many new buyers ticked that box!

The only other OE blue seats I can think of are the half leather ones like this car has:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=138744
or the Bi-Colour ones with black centres and blue bolsters.

To be honest they are probably all pretty rare, but good luck with your search.

Thanks Mr Tidy! Very useful info! :) The half leather ones are my favourite to be honest but I would settle for any of them :D

I have them, Syrah blue fine nappa leather, not selling them though .. but yes very rare 12 cars in the U.K. with them iirc which is not surprising as they were a £2.5k option !

bloody hell, saw one of these with the blue seats for sale some years back and I suspect the owner had no idea they had a rare gem as the price was not much more than what those seats are worth on their own.

Could get your seats, door cards and gaiters retrimmed for £1,400. You can choose the colour and stitching and any other extra details.

Id be a bit cheaper than that on the retrim! I need to trim a pair of sports seats I bought for mine, so will be making patterns up to do my set, which would reduce the cost on making a blue set up. Check leather colours at my suppliers to see if they have a decent match for you:

Let me know if that could work for you.

I'm on the lookout for a good condition set of Champagne MSport seats. I'm wondering if there's a solution here.
Either trading with Lleweyn with my black set and some cash towards his retrim. Alternativley I might be interested in a straight retrim.

I ideally wanted the door cards to match but they might be easier to recolour or find later in OK condition.

Thanks for the offer but I am oem or bust, I wouldn't want retrimmed or dyed seats, no matter how well the work had been done!

Tempting but I am after a blue set ideally!

Someone breaking an E85 on ebay (advertised as an E86) with bi-colour blue seats and matching doorcards… they don't look the tidiest, but neither do the look beyond fixing up either https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255256655431?hash=item3b6e7b7647:g:QvoAAOSwltBhp~A6&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoP%2FAvL5Zn%2BFHZTbttEmLCrNn2DCRqHrOp9hKZM216qTVWoSajW%2FsreGBMeYQt4gEV7zHlLWJbzi7nLflQd0%2B9HwAYj4RUYhc2s5WegKUH8FeSDwjw46ClbDK8KBle0Tb5EY%2F49QiEGGNOGxYkJF0%2BJQS8Gpy59rny2EC0AABIrhuTnvSBCHmERAdddpq%2F7Lsu%2FwRiFYcyyknTFrGN4eVgyA%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9SUjIiqYQ

[ref]Llewelyn[/ref], There is a chap in Thetford with a set of half leather blue MSport seats and matching door cards. But they are not heated. Don't know if that's any good to you? I know bigwinn can fit heater pads in them.
