A little TLC

Thanks to matsmith749 I now own my new to me 35iS.

It’s in superb shape but I do plan on a little TLC. This weekend will see a full strip and rebuild of the brakes.

To be finished in Bentley Storm grey. Nothing flashy but just a nice finish. Splash plates in satin silver.

Next Friday all four wheels booked in for a full refurbishment with new TPMS valve stems to finish them off. Powder coated to resist corrosion.

I will post before and after photos on completion

So all stripped down ready for cleaning and paint. Then the rebuild

The front shocks have obviously been changed at some point as it’s a 2016 with build date on the shocks for 2020

So breaks done. Wheels getting full refurbishment on Friday. Rear hubs have been finished in satin silver until I change the discs.

And yes; I know it’s not an ‘M’ but it is an M Sport and it looks nice IMHO

You can’t beat the first wash to get to know your car. Inside and out. Then used one of these. Fantastic results.

One of the great joys when you get a new car is to improve it. No matter how good it is there is always room for improvement. I love that time when you are sorting it all out. My trouble has been in the past when everything is done I get bored and start thinking about a replacement. I’m not as bad as Pondrew but I have had a lot of cars.

So this weekend saw the last of the wheels and brakes overhaul. New Zimmerman and ATE pads all round. CBS info reset. Washed and ready for Sunday 2 hour roof down commute back to the Cotswold.

I’m assuming they’re 19’s but the profiles look a little higher. Did you use 35 and 40 profile as some recommend for extra give in the suspension? Also, the callipers- where did the MSport logos come from ? Looks really good !

Tyres are all as per spec 225/35/19 front and 255/30/19 rear (with the exception of not being RFT). Logos are from eBay. 2K lacquer with Bentley Storm Grey as base colour.
