A LITTLE HELP FOR A NEWBIE PLEASE

HI ALL ,
SORRY STILL HAVENT MASTERED THE PHOTO THING ! THE PROBLEM IS TWOFOLD !
1 JUST HAD A PIONEER HEAD UNIT THAT READS SD CARDS INSTALLED AND THE GUY SAYS THERE IS NO ADAPTOR TO MAKE THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS WORK THERE ARE ONLY ADAPTORS FOR THE 1 AND 3 SERIES IS THIS CORRECT?
2 JUST PURCHASED SOME BLACK KIDNEY GRILLES FOR THE FRONT (WHY DO BMW INSTALL A BLACK LOWER DAM AND SILVER/GREY GRILLES ? ) GRILL HOW EASY ARE THE OLD ONES TO REMOVE AND FIT NEW ?
SORRY IF THESE QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ASKED BEFORE I HAVE SEARCHED BUT CAME UP EMPTY !
ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED

Hi and welcome, regard ing the grills just give them a pull from the bottom slightly up and they will pop out easily

This is correct. The steering wheel controls use one of the vehicles data buss (the 'K' bus) to talk/communicate to the stock radio.

Just keep your OEM head unit so you can reinstall before selling.

Stop shouting TAKE THE CAPS OFF.....

Grilles - just grip them at the lower edge push them up slightly and a sharp tug forwards at the lower edge and they pop out. Reverse to refit.

This shows to be the adapter for a Pioneer radio. I dont know if they sell it in England though...
