Went to the food market on tuesday. On wednesday morning I wanted to visit my local starbucks for a cup. Realized then that my wallet was missing. And I new just where I had left it. In the food market basket where one seats their kids. And luckily I did happen to return said basket to the collection point in the car park as I always do. Not many people look at the collection of baskets on the way into the store. One of the employees saw it when collecting baskets and locked it in the store safe.

All monies, credit cards, concealed weapons permit. Were present.

I thought about the fact that we always hear about the worst of our society. And not much about the good things that folks do. That kind person saved me at a minimum a very large headache. And possibly a large financial hardship.

I will call their manager.

Cheers

Indeed.

Wished that the German whose wallet I found in the UK had had the decency to at least thank me as I handed it to the police who took all my details.

It even had his passport in it (not to mention money, credit cards etc)!

I wonder how much of that you'd have found if you didn't have a concealed weapon permit

"concealed weapons permit" ? who are you!

No secret agent type or cop here. Just an average american that does not mind practicing the rights I have. Here in washington and my former home in south dakota it is perfectly legal and acceptable to strap on a holster and carry a pistol. but you do have to have a permit to hide it from every ones view. I did have to undergo an investigation to get that permit.

It is not a coincidence that If you look at the figures, the states and cities with the LEAST restrictive gun laws also have the lowest crime rates. go figure!

Of course with my impending move to Germany. I will have to leave all my weapons here in the states.
