Was at the 'Ring this weekend and there was a lot of snow each night! This meant we missed out on a whole day of lapping on the Saturday. However, to make up for it on the Sunday, Nurburgring GmbH decided to open up the GP circuit for public lapping.... :)

Nice vid! It's really neat to be able to say, hey I drank on that track! (Rock-Am_Ring) I never did take my pickup truck nor any other vehicle on it though. Rest assured, if me and my car make it back to Europe I will be there with bells on!

Way to go! I knew the turns and the track from my xbox 360

What tires were you running in -0.5C temperature??

The car was just on my Michelin PS2s. Probably not the best, but I wasn't going to buy a new set of winter tyres just for one trip. Couldn't get any heat in them, but the grip was still good, but had it been a dry summers day it would have been much quicker!

Nice track - I'd love to drive that one in the dry. Heat in your tires would definitely be hard to acquire under the circumstances
Thnx for sharing

That is a serious Z4coupe, love the roof. Are you planning to be at any events this spring, so I can take a look at your car? I'm in Oxford, and just bought a coupe, going on BMWCar club trip to France, and some track days this year. Wayne

they say jealousy is the worse emotion... and after that, my viens run thick of it...haha

very nice lap and love the car blah blah the more i compliment you.. the lesser my M and self content feel and become lol

perhaps raising the tire pressure up a good 7 or 8 lbs might help get heat into the tires? Car looked well within your control so I doubt it was a big deal anyways.

ps. that snow fall is nothing, here in southern ontario we got the 3rd record snowfall, over 2 metres since december! difficult to watch videos like this i havnt driving mine since december 2nd or something like that!

Andy - let me know next time you go.

Back over at the 'Ring on from 3rd-6th May! And also for the 24H a few weeks after that (though probably in the diesel barge).

Tazman, I'm sure i'll be at a show or two at some point. Will probably go to the big meet at Gaydon again this summer, as it was a nice day out last year.

KartCMP1, thanks for the compliments. :) You're probably right, and I could have had a play around with the car if I wanted to get it working better. But i was only out there for a couple of sessions, and since it was my first time on the circuit I just had fun getting used to the lines and enjoying the experience. :)
