Just wondered if anyone on the osuth east of the UK had come across this independant BMW specialist

I contacted two local BMW specialists found in yellow pages the first didnt know what a CDV was so end of conversation.

This guy new what one was and said he had replaced for other owners. He also says he can do key programming, i.e. doors locking as you drive off, boot locking etc for pennies as it takes seconds.

At present hes looking like my best option for the CDV if I source he will fit for around £40 (not sure about VAT).

My local dealer wanted £45+vat just for key programming so I could hopefully get both done for the same price, just want to make sure he aint a cowboy.
 
Prestige motors in Thurrock are a recommended indi specialist. It's run by the previous mech at Sytner.

I've not needed any work done yet but there is always a queue and he's Ben very helpful when I've piped in there asking advice about something or other. Quoted me c£500 for an inception 2 on the ///M using genuine parts including valve adjustment, box and diff oil. :thumbsup:
 
As posted in the others read, not impressed.

Will be using ETA at Brands a Hatch or Bartley in Southampton for inspections.
