A Hope to be Future Z4 Owner

Hi everyone, well its been a very turbulent few weeks to say the least, at lot has gone on and by chance I got the opportunity to purchase a alpine white E89 S28i, I was going to let it pass but I enquired after some peer pressure
The rest will come this Friday when I pick it up :driving:

Will get home pics sorted soon.

Congratulations on finding a Z4.

Roll on Friday!

I feel like an excited school kid, although it will be a long day Friday, 3 hours or so on a Train past Manchester then a 4 & half hour drive back home, which I'm actually really looking forward too, shame the weather will most likely be too cold for the top to be down.

If its cold, get the roof down, heated seats on if it has them and crank the heater up ad it will be toasty in that cabin :D

It does have heated seats, although i think on the motorway it will be breezy

Looks lovely, roll on Friday :driving:

Has I got a wind deflector? If it’s got one, and as OGR says, heated seats and the heaters cranked up you’ll be more than cosy in there. One of my favourite things is driving at night with the roof down.

Just watch out for a burnt knee beside the key slot, it gets hot when everything is turned up!

Thats the best thing about the car - night driving with the roof down, always done it in every very I have owned and other than the SLk with air scarf the Zed is probably the best I have driven for keeping warm.

You will be fine in the cold weather, you have all the bits you need to keep warm.

Night driving is great even when Seth weather is a little cold, people look and think you must be mad but probably just as warm as they are :D

Bit personal Sean.
Have fun on Friday OP

Some bits like to stay cooler than others

I have audio book, tunes, shades and Anther the panther who has lived in each car I've had for the last 15 years or so
Early night for me for the 5am start :?

WHOOP :driving:
Although it took me 4 hours to get there and 4h.45min to drive back it was brilliant, made a few silly mistakes, I got the cruise control stalk mixed up with the indicators :headbang:
Otherwise very glad I went with the auto, the M25 was start stop for an hour so was comfy enough listening to my audio book, the iDrive is pretty good, but need more time to play with it.

When I got back to my local roads I put it in sports mode and put my foot down a little (national limit roads) and wow, I did not expect the Z to pull how it did, it felt like it pushed my head back little and when I took my foot off the pedal it started popping which just made me smile more

Am completely shattered but so glad I did it, have a great weekend everyone

Extremely happy, already thinking of changing the grills for black ones and also looking at anthracite alloys too, although need quite a few months to save up first :!:

Jay Jay that looks cracking but I am a little biased on colour, white really does suit the car IMHO and when its clean and polished it does look great.

iDrive is ok but starting to show its age now but better than nothing, very simple to use.

I still push the side button onto indicators to reset the cruise every now and then but getting out of that.

Big question, did you get that roof down :D

Oh yes, the roof came down when I got in to Maidstone, those heated seats are very warm, did not feel the cold at all 8)

I do have a question though, has anyone modded the seats at all so the seatbelt does not rub on the seats ?

Good to hear you are really pleased with it, even if it was a long day!

I quite like distance buying - a long drive home gives you time to get to know your new car.
