A hoon around the northeast/north yorkshire. 28th April

I tried to have a little hoon at the back end of September last year but the weather gods were very unkind to me and we had major floods the weekend before and the road were in no fit state for a good hoon. Now I'd quite like to finish what I started the only slight stumbling block being a little over a week ago I left the fold :( and got myself an E92.

So if the boys and girls on here don't mind and there is enough interest I'd like to have a little hoon. I'm looking at the weekend of the 27th/28th of April, I would rather the 28th but I can do it on the 27th if the majority would prefer. The route would take us round the borders of County Durham, Cumbria and North Yorkshire.

Let me know what you think and if there's a general thumbs up I'll get some plans together.

That would be a good hoon, some lovely roads and countryside there!

Unfortunately, it's still football season for my son and I'm his taxi, if you have another in the summer I'll pop up :driving:

Laine - good chance of us being free that weekend, especially if it's open to non zeds - will keep a watch on the thread :)

 It would be a bit of cheek if I said Z's only so no problem there.

Definitely up for this... Cracking roads round here, altho prefer Durham dales to yorkshire dales roads just because they're much quieter!

Certainly up for that. Malton are doing their Sunday meet, so after that is a good time for a hoon. Easter weekend I think

Ok then I'll book it in for Sunday the 28th of april. I'm away next weekend so I'll try and update you guys soon after that.

Bump : Any thoughts on route - start point etc.

p.s. Happy to bring Ruth's Zed, unless you want to see my new toy! :driving:

Tony, you need to bring your new toy!!! And get Ruth along too.

I'll make the trip over for this if the route is not too 'north east!', need a good hoon in the car. Plenty of great roads in North Yorkshire too.

Sorry folks been away yoping round some hills north of the border.

I was thinking of doing a slight variation on I proposed last time. Start off at sedbury layby at Scotch Corner then make our way to Middleton in teesdale, Brough, Kirkby Stephen, Hawes, Layburn. I'm not 100% sure after that as I'm going to change the start of the route I'll need to do a reccy run and see how the milage is stacking up.

We all want to see the new toy Tony :) .

Ok then it's looking like a good turn out maybe as many as 12 so far.

The meet point is definatley Sedbury layby on the A66 near the Scotch Corner turn off (Google it if you need too ). If we try to get there fof 9:30 for a 10:00 departure or a little earlier if you want to partake in an excelent bacon buttie from the cafe.

If you have a Sat Nav bring it along as I'll provide postcodes of RVP's just in case we ge split up.
