Hello to all like minded people, just bought my first Z4 which is a 2011 35i and I am an instant convert, I absolutely adore this thing.
Bit of history here and I'll try to keep it brief.... Like the header says, I am a Geordie from the principality of the same name :D living in Glasgow, 58 years young and retired early due to medical reasons since late 2008. Bought the Z a month ago while I still have a 56 plate Lexus is250, and a 2005 Audi TT coupe 3.2DSG, prior to which I had a smart roadster which I also adored but it was lowered and almost impossible for me to get in and out of, had to sell, bought audi (already had sensible Lexus) but yearned for another convertable but had to be a tiptop. So, Lexus goes on Friday, can't bear to sell audi and still in the honeymoon period with the BMW.
I have a couple of vacancies for chums just now as I'm driving around all on my lonesome, I'm an equal opportunities pal so posts are not gender or race specific, just someone to hang with, especially if there are any organised runs or meetings. Anyone in or around Glasgow please get in touch as I have so much time on my hands I can write a bloody introduction like this!! My car is silver and rev is W55RAE so if you see me on the road gimme a flash.

Hi John. Welcome to the forum. There a few folk from the Glasgow area and quite a few runs around Scotland arranged through here as well.

I am a bit North at Spean Bridge but if ever up this way I am also an equal opertunities "hooner" :D

Beautiful part of the country mate and ill bear it in mind, ditto tho but, I'm two minutes from the m8 through the tunnel and theres always a hot proper coffee and nice bit of cake if you're passing through

Great post OP - I'm also 58 but chose to "retire early" because work became such a PITA!

But I'm also 50% highlander - my Dad was born in Muir of Ord, even if I am currently living in Berkshire!

If I lived a few hundred miles North I may have been up for a meet, shame you are so far away!

Hope you find some fellow hooners locally!

Hi and welcome.

With so much time on your hands you should be able to take some really good pics of the Zed to share with us!

Enjoy :driving:

Thanks foe the welcome Mr Ted, RickRob and all others who take the time to read my biop. I took a couple of pics last night of the Z sat next to my TT and must admit I'm pretty ashamed of the state they're in so I have them booked in for a shampoo & set next week and will then take more pics. Only had the car less than a month so no mods yet, now, lets see if I can work out how to upload these snaps.
