I found these boxes in the rear centre storage area below the DVD player for the sat nav Are they worth anything to anyone and what value might they have?

I would like to be able to connect via bluetooth my iPhone for iTunes I did this in my Z4 2.0i with a 3.5mm jack plug aux input that was already fitted and worked ok for iTunes only not my phone, what is involved it fitting one I spent a fair bit of time searching but found more questions than answers and the post where for 2015ish so phone tech has moved on a bit, again can anyone help me.

Thanks in advance

Intravee is worth something. Not sure what tho! Think it’s something to do with Z4 sat nav? Like more options and customisation. Maybe in-motion TV? Or maybe that’s something else! Lol!

Carly can’t do the folding, not sure why, I think some have managed to do something with NCS or other more advanced software. Not too sure tho, there are posts if you can track them down...

For mine I’ve got a parrot. Old iPod in the glovebox, clickwheel is broken so it’s kind of ideal. Always stays in there connected via the 30pin plug so charges and access to my tunes. The phone connects to Bluetooth for music and/or calls. It’s old tech in my one but does the job :)

Hi. I've looked into this myself.... and From my understanding the phone 7 and my Samsung 7 won't connect properly due to the version of Bluetooth. I also have an iPhone 6 which will connect for calls etc but the phone book is never retained when switched off. I'm told if you can find a newer compatible Bluetooth module this can be overcome.
The intravee replaces the CD changer, and once plugged in can play your iPod or iPhone via the head unit. Do you have the wiring harness with the intravee??

Hope this helps

Yes I have the wires but the iPod is the old flat one not the new lighting one so would have to find and charge up my old iPod and see how it works

I really just want to connect my phone to the car and use iTunes and make calls

I’ve got a similar thing to you that has an old iPod connecter rather than the lightning but you can buy a cheap Bluetooth module from Amazon for a few quid that connects to the old style connector and you can connect it to your phone and listen to music that way. Don’t think it works for calls though sadly.

I have factory bluetooth for calls in my Z4M, and managed to pair it with my Samsung S8. As you said, it doesn't successfully load the address book etc, but I can receive calls okay.

For music, I installed one of these in place of the CD multichanger:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0773MX7BG/

This adds a 'Bluemusic' bluetooth connection for music. My phone connects to both the factory BT for calls, and Bluemusic for audio, at the same time.

There's a slight comical quirk though in that if you have your nav screen folded down, pressing the next/prev track buttons on the steering wheel pops up the screen :D

Intravee and the alpine box are for iPhones to connect to the car, however the intravee does lots more, you can change lots of settings without needing Carly etc. If you have sat nav and use an iPhone worth keeping and updating.

If you want to sell the intravee and alpine box I’d be interested in it.

If your pairing button isn’t responding feel the wire coming from the phone box through the rear bulkhead. They commonly break through flexing and exhibit the problem you’ve described. Answer is to fix the connection (solder and wire) or replace the phone eject box.

Enhanced Bluetooth on my old zed streamed the music also.

There should be 2 cables one from the intravee to the alpine and 1 from the alpine to iPod/phone.

£150-200 generally depends how quickly you want to sell it and/or avoid fees etc.

I got a factory aux cable from BMW and fitted a Brodit Pro with passive holder for my iPhone 7 plus... when making a call it uses the phones mic and the sound comes out of the stereo... works a treat!
