A few issues!!

Hi guys,

Recently had warning lights that pop up then go off fairly quickly, bloody parking sensors have stopped working as well. The hard top fault and misfire I knew about. And the warnings for the rear axle oddly don't throw up a dash warning, and the rear brakes are absolutely fine. Passed MOT recently with no problems. I don't know if it's due to water somehow getting into the boot perhaps?

It was a rear end shunt repair before I bought it, and had an issue with it where the fuel sender relay was knackered with water ingress. They replaces all the boot seals and replaced missing grommets.

Anybody got any ideas?

I did mate yeah, it was £7k with 26k on the clock so even after the repair bill with the fuel sender unit (that was expensive!) and a few other repairs it's still a lot less than what it should have cost me. The roof was working absolutely fine up until mid summer last year, and of course can't get that fixed because of lockdown and BMW parts being shut and the garage tech peeps not in service

BMW are not shut, if you call your local BMW dealer, tell them its your daily car and they wil supply parts for you to collect at the door. I am picking up a full set of spring pads for my new eibach springs on Thursday morning.
As for your fault codes, try a mobile medhanic/autoelectrician, they will still be working

Who knows with so many faults...often a set of failures like these are down to a corroded connector throwing spurious / real issues...

Best to clear a few..often when you get a cluster they sometime drag down other units compounding the faults..

Ok so my usual garage opened back up so they had it hooked up to Opus and managed to find a wire issue with the roof so wasn't a sensor. Fixed!!

The misfire was being caused by oil dropping in the coil of cylinder 6, rocker cover and solenoid gaskets changed, Fixed!

The parking sensors are fault now so they couldn't do the updates required but all in all the car is runnign SCHWEEEEEEEEET!!!!

Ok so all issues fixed thankfull! Roof was a snapped wire, but today it's come up with 00A6A6 unknown top position and now my bloody windows won't go back up!!!

I've done it a few times now, as soon as I clear it the windows won't budge and red light flashing on the roof down button still. When I hit the button the warning comes up on the dash
