A few changes before the New Year

Changed the wheels.

Originals - 17" 292 Turbines


New 18"

For the Eagle eyed, the indicators have been changed to LCI type and hey,
No more whippy, but now stubby.


I'm undecided about the stubby. But it was the quickest change ever. About 20 seconds.

Should I wrap the roof in black?
Was quoted €200.
I can purchase the vinyl for €40.

The wife & I were driving through a roundabout and there was a young lady at the left side of the road with her dog on a leash.

There were no cars in front of her. She stopped at the crossing. Turned stared, then gave the most amazing smile and a thumbs up.

I think she liked the triple combo of the car, the colour & the contrast with the wheels.

The body colour is an unusual one, but in the flesh and when clean is a beauty to behold.

Oh yeah, I debadged it last week as well.
The wife was against the idea but she has now crossed over to the other side.

It was an amazing sight.
Wifey, broke into a smile & gave a thumbs up herself.
She could not believe it either.
Needless to say I was not flooring it.
It proves that sometimes it's good to go for a nice leisurely drive.

It was going so well until you changed to a sub-standard aerial. Wheels definitely an improvement IMO

Yup. That's correct.
It's a weird name for what it is. Mostly it's gold, i would say.
But it does seem to change according to the light.

I went with the following for tyres & wheels.

225/40 R18 92Y XL, FP
Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5

245/35 R18 92Y XL, MFS

ATS Evolution Grey, Dark 8x18 ET30 5x120 72.6 H2

I visited a few wheel places here in Dublin.
But when I asked questions about the wheels it turns out most were Chinese made.

The ATS EVOs I got are German made and together with the tyres were €400 cheaper delivered from Tyreleader in France
