:(

A few £s had to spent on the car (53 plate/83,000 miles) today as he has gone in for a few wear and tear bits to be replaced (aux belts, rear trailing arm brake pipes, couple of ball joints, front flexi hoses and front brake pipes).

I haven't driven the car for a few days and noticed some fluid on my garage floor this morning :(

Front offside shock absorber has burst :( :( - local independent guy who looks after the car is fantastic and I hope the car will be back tomorrow (Friday) fit/fettled ready for the weekend.

Still loving the Z4 experience :driving: but my big brake upgrade will have to wait for a bit.

Love those wheels in that colour on that car - looks ace, she's definitely worth it  :D

Bing

Of all the cars I have owned THIS one is most definitely worth it.

The repairs will keep the car in good form for the summer and onwards, and I think for a 12 year old car a few £s are worth it (for the pleasure the driving experience give you).

The good news is the car is in great condition and most of the bill is replacing worn out stuff.

What people forget sometimes is that ALL cars are expensive when bits wear out or they break - so actually unless it happens all the time - you'd have no different an experience with another marque. As you say, 12 years old so it's going to need some attention.

I just love the way you posted a bit of a  comment, but alongside a great pic of your car

Looooooove those wheels, where did you get them/what make/sizes are they?

I think they are Dare alloys, 19s - previous owner had them fitted when he sold his E46 M3:

After a long Sunday morning run into North Wales, all tucked up in his garage:

1 shocker failed?

Not really a problem or fault is it when you actually think about it.

It's actually an excuse to upgrade the suspension.

Man Maths. You know it makes sense Rodney!

Good news is the car was ready yesterday evening and the garage also washed it for me

I spent a couple of hours this afternoon attempting to improve the roof's appearance. A bit of 'Renovo' and it looks much better.

A quick 'fix' until a decent treatment by a professional (detailing paint/wheel refurb etc).
