Housework is detailing for your home...

Had to do some obligatory chores in preparation for the in law visit, did the bathrooms without complaint and quite proud of the resulting shiny surfaces :)

Now back to mince pies and spiced wine...

Hope you didn't do too good a job otherwise your other half will get you doing it more often.

I do love a clean bathroom... But I hate doing it. House needs decorated, but I also hate painting. Gave the car a spruce up instead

Spend a day painting a room and its good for 5 years..
Spend a day detailing the car and its good for ...2 days ??

I agree cleaning the car is more enjoyable though !

Out doors detailing for me. Happy to trim the trees cut the lawn. rake the moss up, (Pesky stuff). Clean the cars. As for cleaning the bath room, OP your welcome around any time.

Very true. Anytime he does anything I have to re do it. It's too much hassle to allow him to cook, clean, do the dishes or wash the clothes. The only time he cleaned clothes he did all his and none of mines :x

So he pays the bills and I do the housework, shopping and cooking

Oh and I'm the one who cleans both cars and do the waxing as he doesn't put in as much effort getting it off.

We moved home on the 11th can't believe it's 2 weeks tomorrow.
A complete do-er-upper.
We're in a 1970's throwback and have given ourselves 6 months to -
Rewire, windows and doors, kitchen, bathroom, central heating, internal doors and decorations and sort out the garden.
Then I'm going to sort my garage

Wrong order... Sort the garage first and stay out there. I do !
I can keep the garage tidy, where as Ive given up on the house until the kids leave home !

Let me know if you are ever single. I thought I had the best woman in the world but that is impressive. Do you have kids?

I tend to do the washing (but cause too much ironing apparently... :o ). I also do the washing up every night but I am trying to sub this out to my 12 year old. We also have a dish washer that we never use.

Mrs H works full time, does cooking, cleaning, ironing (mostly), food shops. I do car cleaning and general "man" stuff. You need to have a balance between the two of you.

I don't have kids........just the big one sat beside me.

Yeah it would be nice to share the work but honestly it's too much hassle having to do it all again. I'd rather do it myself and know it's done. He sometimes decides he wants to do a clear out and I'm fine with that.

As he works late, usually not home until after 8pm, I'm at a loose end when I get home from work so doing stuff around the house or going out to wash the cars on a light evening helps pass the time.

We cleaned the house yesterday, and my missus got the Hoover out, and said "its not working" so I had a look and switched it on and She said "whats that noise ! " (Joke )

The introduction of kids may squeeze your time available. Ours (3 of them) just eat up time, shopping for stuff, going to football training, matches, running them about seeing their mates etc. They always need something.

I washed my company car yesterday. It hadn't been done since September. Felt good though...!! :D
