A couple more questions...

Am I still a newbie after 2 months? (...including this one, it's three questions)

Why have my Red Oregon Sports seats got a bit of suede next to the transmission tunnel? (Cheaper than shiny leather?)

What's the big deal with a stubby? My physics A-level suggests that a whippy will get better radio reception. Is it just cooler to have a short stumpy appendage?

Stubby is a question of style. Some reports of dodgy reception, some reports that reception is fine. Some of us stick with the whippy. I think the stubbies suit the roadster a little more than the Coupe but I expect everyone's got an opinion...

I think the suede is so the seat doesn't rub against the trans tunnel and cause any noises which leather might do.

Never had an issue with radio reception with my stubby and think it looks much better than the whippy.

Zed owners seem to fall into one of two camps: Whippy or Stubby. There's no logic to it - its all about aesthetics. Each owner knows intuitively which they prefer, and can't be persuaded otherwise :D

I much prefer the look of the stubby, especially on the roadster. Think loss of reception depends on which one you buy. Mine has been ok, perhaps a little patchy but for a £3.00 Peugeot/Citroen part I can't knock it really.

As for the seats, as srhutch said, so the leather isn't rubbing against the plastic but do you mean down on the side or on the top? Perhaps a photo would be useful.

Hope you're still enjoying the car!
