I personally can't stand the 'new' format registrations they are claiming to be 'personalised'....they just look like stock numbers
 
I try to get a plate which is relates to me and the car. This is my previous Z3 with my initials DL. Sold the car but kept the plate just haven't got around to selling it yet.

Mine's a very cryptic 'personalised' plate...

VX for the name of the first computer I bought for business use (Apple II VX).
56 is my average daily mileage since I bought the car.
ONN is short for onanism, which I'm told is what I'm very good at :P

I'm surprised at how expensive your personalized plates are that side of the pond.

I've got "EXTA Z". :D And no, I'm not a drug dealer, but it has kept my son within the speed limits the few times he's driven it. :lol:

What does 'EXTA ZED' mean :poke:

They're expensive over here because we only have one place to buy them from, and we don't have much choice in character positioning.
 
in the UK, say is your number plate was BL09 TSE - If you had BLO 9TS E on your number plate, what can you get done for? e.g points and fines or is it just an MOT failure?

£30 fixed penalty I think....though with a 'big' number like that (7 characters) and a GB strip there wouldn't be room to do that using official letter sizes.

It looks really chavvy anyway to play with the spacing.

i think a personal plate is what it says, its personal to you, doesn't matter what others think or how they read it, its just your personal plate

anyone as a plate appreciates you have to have a bit of an imagination

for my lad a bought T12 MYK, what does that say to others? to me its obvious
 
With CJ on this one 5 digits or less for me all these cars driving around with standard plates that have been messed with to read something look naff numbers do not look like letters and letters do not look like numbers most of the time it only works on some plates.

The plate in the origonal post is a joke and not worth a penny in my book.

I went the one letter followed by one number then my intials i would like to leave out my middle initial but prob is that would be GB not cheap i did look into buying GB 666 but offers started at 8k :o

Good question mmm-five, "What does 'EXTA ZED' mean :poke:"

Our pronunciation of the letter "Z", here in the colonies, is "Zee" and not "Zed". :wink:

So our interpretation of the plate would be "Ecstasy" with a choice of the following meanings:

1. rapturous delight.
2. an overpowering emotion or exaltation; a state of sudden, intense feeling.
3. the frenzy of poetic inspiration.
4. mental transport or rapture from the contemplation of divine things.

But unfortunately, there is an illegal drug, popular with the young crowd, also called the same. So when my son has driven the car, the plate seems to cause him to drive within the speed limits so he doesn't draw additional attention to the car. :thumbsup:

BTW, my E55 has the plate "SLVR ARO", a tribute to the pre and post WW2 Mercedes race cars.

Anyway, in that case, shouldn't it be 'EXTA C' to mean 'ecstasy' rather than 'EXTA Z' to mean 'ecstazee' :wink:
 
Here's a few I happened by at the Midland Breakfast Meet today.

While the 308 plate works I leave the rest to you to decide from German plates in UK format to odd fonts, spacing and bolts :thumbsdown:

Each to their own but I can see some of these being confiscated over time

I'm with Taz here... personal plates are personal, if the owner likes it that's what matters
Crazy typefaces and weird spacing isn't my bag though... that, I agree, is chavvy :thumbsdown:
