Well said jaRED.

It's is a goal of mine to drive over to blighty from Germany and make one of the meets as well. I may even set a record for the longest drive for a meet.
And to go to the goodwood revival festival. I have got to see a supermarine Spitfire fly by before I die.

BBMF is about 6 miles from my house - we see them very often over the summer, and it's a special treat when they fly low over the garden. Excellent sound.....

I've had the pleasure of hearing a P-51 fly over. Hard to beat that sort of noise. I've also had the high honor and privilege of flying in a B-17. The glass bubble (bombardier's position) in the nose of the B-17 has a view to die for.

Yeah, love the p-51, but the sound of a Merlin engine pips it for me ....
