A Change of Zed

I've been a Zed owner for 2 years now, and what a fantastic couple of years it's been. After getting endless enjoyment from my 3.0 SE Roadster, i have decided to change to the 3.0 SI Coupe. Loving the extra grunt, and such a gorgeous looking thing.

So i found this beaut... complete with Angel Eyes and CUP HOLDERS!! Amazingly neither of these were advertised in the spec!

I find it curious that your door cards are covered in black leather but your center console isn't... Do you have the extended leather option?

I'm sure you mean red leather, yep, thought that too, not really sure what the original interior spec was. Quite happy with the centre console area being black though, could have been a bit too much red otherwise.

I've also been suspect regarding the 108's and their rep for degrading, but these guys have completely refurbed them, powder coated centre, and polished rims. Dare i say i've already slightly marked one!!! Just need to get the stubby on now

Possibly a previous owner upgraded the interior from black to red. Either way you are right it does look glorious!

It does feel a little different, what with the sports seats and different suspension - seems to ride the bumps better than the Roadster. Steering feels a bit lighter at speed too. I'm enjoying the feel of the extra power and the deeper rumble of the engine. It's not boy-racerish, it just sounds like quality.

MPG? The drive back from Manchester to Hull gave me 41mpg, very similar to the Roadster. Around town, too and from work, i'm getting around 29 to 30 mpg, compared to the 32mpg i had before. Obviously the cup holders are going to make a life changing difference :driving:

I happen to have the black leather center console, but my door cards are standard ones.. I'm pretty happy with the combination, it is very subtle :lol:

I have the same interior with all leather door cards. But no leather in the centre console. I think it's the New England nappa leather option that give the extra leather

108s v MV2s on the coupe? I still can't make my mind up which I prefer after all this time - 108s look great on your zed though

Congrats. This really is a lovely looking coupe and the leather door cards really finish the interior off. Black and red is always a winning combo!

Thanks for the comments. I'm loving the ocean of leather inside and i'm warming to the 108's. Surprisingly, it's my first ever black car, let the battle to keep it clean commence...
