I take it you are not hopeful that the Pandemic will have calmed down by June,Peter?
Shame that it has put paid to a lot of meets/events for alot of people, but this Pandemic is something that shouldn't be taken lightly.
Was looking forward to this one, these are some of my favourite roads, hence a few forum Braemar runs over the years have been well attended.
Hopefully we get some meets in this year.

Hi Craig,
I think everyone wishes this situation would resolve itself for the better sooner than later.

We can all have our own thoughts on this one and we should respect this.

My personal thoughts are that we are not going to be doing 'holidays' at all in 2020 anywhere..but that's a personal view.

We could get into that subject but I don't think a public forum is the place for that discussion..

Hello, just to confirm that this run remains cancelled, I’ve requested zero cancellation fee from Perth Lodge...they agreed but unfortunately Booking.com still took a cancellation fee..I’m pursuing this directly with Booking.com...

Hope to see you in 2021 with a revised run..

Hi Peter, I have yet to cancel my booking with the Perth Lodge. I also made the booking through Booking.com, is it worth my while talking directly to the Perth lodge? or will they, as I suspect say I have to go through Booking.com.
Also what reason have Booking.com given for taking a cancellation fee? Seems a pretty poor thing to do under the circumstances.
All the best and hopefully will get to join you on the run next year.
Tim

Hi, Peter. thank you for contacting us and we sincerely apologize for our delayed response. We are recently receiving overflowing inquiries hence your kind understanding would be highly appreciated.
Please be kindly advised that the payment is handled by the property directly and booking won't charge for this reservation. The cancellation policy is set by the property which is non-refundable. It states in the confirmation email. However, according to the communication between you and the property, they claimed they didn't charge you.
In this case, we will contact the property to clarify the payment status also the cancellation policy under the force circumstances. We suggest you as well to check your bank statement to make sure if you've been charged or not.
As long as we receive the respond from the property, we will contact you.
Hope above could answer your question.
Have a nice day and stay safe."

Hi Peter. Good news! The property has confirmed that the reservation has been cancelled free of charge.
Hope to see you travelling again soon."

Thanks for your advice with this Peter.
I contacted the hotel directly on Wednesday of this week and received an email from them yesterday evening stating that I will be receiving a full refund with out any cancellation charges.
So once again thanks for your help.

Well the weather doesn't look good this weekend..so I guess its not as frustrating as if it was going to be a long hot weekend..

Roll on Phase 3 of the lockdown in Scotland (another 4 weeks) where we can start hooning around this beautiful country again..probably carrying a Porta Loo in the boot!
