A blast in the cold

Wow how the temperature has plummeted from last nights warm Hallowe'en goings on. Just been for a run out, down to 1deg on the dash, dry roads, nobody about, heated steering wheel, seats and blower on number 2, scattering the autumn leaves on Peak District roads at a brisk pace, the exhaust popping and banging, fantastic. I didn't want to go home really... :lol:

I do miss the Peak District. You just don't get good driving roads with little traffic in this part of the world without going out in the middle of the night.

If there was an E85 mod to get a heated steering wheel that is the only mod I would do.

Cheers Rick, the heated wheel makes quite a difference I have to say, you really don't need gloves with that and the side vents blowing onto the hand backs, works very well. Agreed, silly they didn't put it on the E85, a great addition.

We went for a run on Monday afternoon John and it was a beautiful.Shot up to Curbar Gap and down to Calver then up to Sparrow pit and then home via Winnats and Hathersage, I remember saying to my Missus that some Zedders had already put their cars away for winter

You'll still be running it in Ronk so the Gatling gun will have escaped you thus far. However, you get a bit of pace up and then lift off the throttle, or change down a cog in manual and listen to the pops and bangs, there's a gun shot/crack at around 4250 rpm that is especially theatrical, it makes you properly chuckle.. :lol:

Cheers chaps, it's nice to get out after missing the summer with health issues, only managed 600 miles from March to September in all that continued great weather . So making the most of this fab autumn.

Its been in sport mode and without heavy throttle or revs it's made a few "poomphs" between changes!
1100 miles on the clock now from 28 sept but it's gone into hibernation until March 2017

Brand new here and already prepared to have the hate brought on me. Just bought mine, still in the mid to high 80's (F) in South Texas with lows in the upper 60's. I was pissed it was drizzling this morning because I couldn't go roofless to work. Cold front coming through this weekend so the highs will only be in the upper 70's and lows unchanged.

Won't work on me. Born and raised in the West TX dry heat and now more than acclimated to the humid heat here in South TX. A/C, baby, A/C!

Seriously, though, it will get hot enough for me to ride with the roof up during the dead of summer, especially in a black on black car. However, when it gets cold in a month or so (and, believe me, it actually does get bone chilling cold down here), I'll still be riding like y'all with the heater and the heated seats on.
