Lovely Spring day for once so Mrs G and took the Zed up to Hartland Point and walked a few more miles of the SWCP.

Quite a view over to Lundy, we hope to get a boat out there at some point on the walk. :)

A reminder that we still have a long way to go. :D

One for the Tech buffs. Who doesn't like a good Radar Station on a sunny day.

And finally the post wouldn't be compete without a few Zed Pics.

And a happy Mrs G.

Indeed Rob. Plus, I had forgotten how good that stretch of road is from Bude North and hardly any one on it today. :driving: :D

Lovely  . Although, I did ask myself why you thought 524m was a long way until I remembered distances are still in ye olde worlde units in England  .
When you were visiting NZ, did you see the '100' speed signs and think "You beauty"?

Stunning

Last time I went to Lundy you couldn't see it until we were 200m from the coast! Much better for your view

Nice one lar

I’d love to get back down that way at some point, esp the swcp. Been watching that program on telly recently.

Back in the day (early 90’s) me and a bunch of mates would rent a big farmhouse in Week St. Mary for a few weeks surfing. Bude was the closest town but Newquay was where it was at!

While we were all in our ripped, faded half-suits and dog-eaten old boards, we used to chuckle at the born-again surfers with all their latest, most expensive gear just hanging/treading for the whole day and then being stretchered off the beach when they finally decided to catch a wave then got it all wrong and wiped out.

Then it was either off down the Sailors Arms or back to the farm for bbq and beer and a bit of rumpypumpy with a local filly if we were really lucky.

Sigh. Happy days.

Well done John. Great pictures.
That ///M of yours must be clocking up some miles
She's spent far too much time in the garage this winter. Doing less miles now than she did once. I'm not even sure what is on the clock since the service is now annual and I have switched the interval light off. MoT next month so I will have to take a look. :D

I was too busy dodging the 18 wheelers coming the other way on those single track lanes.

I hope not the one with the gawd awful "pretend" westcountry accent? Despite being interested I had to turn it off before throwing things at the telly! (being a proper job westcountry boy).

Your thinking of the One based on Dartmoor. Even I had to switch that off and I'm from the same neck of the woods as Chris. The Coast path series is better, though very rushed, as they have tried to cram some thing that takes most people months, into 2 hours. We have been at it for two years and have done about 1/4 of it. (The coast path you lot)

Nice photo's! We had the same idea with regards to fresh air and went to a local country park (old RAF base) for a walk. Looked around some of the old pillboxes from WW2, pretty cool that they're still standing, albeit some are half buried
