A beautiful day for a drive in...Munich?

As I cruised along the US Gulf Coast this weekend, I noticed this really interesting condo, which immediately made me think of BMW's Munich headquarters. Is it just me?

It was a perfect day for roadster owners. 73 degrees F and sunny. And today, we are paying for that perfect weekend weather with a torrential downpour.

Aww, don't tease me, probably our favourite holiday of all time was back in 2005 when we had a couple of weeks in Orlando doing the parks etc, then a more sedate week driving down the Gulf coast taking in Clearwater & Sarasota etc, ended up in the Keys for a few days & then Miami for a couple of nights.

In answer to your original post, I can see the similarity although I'd expect the weather isn't nearly as nice in Munich for great chunks of the year.

Tony, I bet that was an amazing trip. Gorgeous scenery, clear blue/green water, and sunny, warm weather almost year round. This photo was taken in Orange Beach, Alabama. It is indistinguishable from Florida, and in my "neck of the woods."

I've been thinking of taking a topless drive down to Miami and the Keys. I've never been south of Daytona, but think it would be an awesome trip, if taken prior to or after summer (to avoid the 90% humidity).

I bought my Z4 near Orlando, and spent the weekend in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed that road trip.

Yep; Munich, eat your heart out!

Wow! Now thats roadster weather! The building does look like it owes a design debt to Munich HQ's.
