A bad day - 2 new V spoke 296 wheels required!!

Went for a drive on Dartmoor, huge chunk of granite in the kerbside = 2 nearside wheels destroyed in an instant.
So if anyone has a couple of unmarked 296's as new Let me know please.

That’s bad luck McB, a shame no doubt.

As for your request I have a set of 4 296’s with Bridgestone run flats on, wheels and tyres have done approx 3k miles, they were on my new 35is in 2015. Completely unmarked, as new, obviously not refurbed. There is talk that that after 2013 the 296’s were strengthened, thicker outside rim, so mine are these. I don’t want to split them but would sell all 4. If that’s of any interest to you just pop me a pm or talk here, I’m not sure if the rules allow sales to go ahead in PM without first declaring a price but we can get to that if you’re interested.
 
That sound was loud, made me jump watching it. You can probably repair those if the wheels are still straight, else probably a good idea to replace.

Quoted £90 per wheel to repair subject to them being straight of course. Felt ok on the road though.
 
They'll be repaired fine. Most decent places will weld new metal in, rather than bodge them with filler. :thumbsup:

Nasty but repairable.
If however you wanted 2 of John-e89s 296s, I could be up for buying the other 2 depending on the price of course. Something to consider...
 
Both repaired perfectly for £180, brilliant :-)

Nasty bump but the repair looks good :thumbsup:

It might be worth getting the alignment checked or the first you will know about it being out will be scrubbed tyre edges.
 
Happy ending. :D :thumbsup: Done a few tyres on the moor over the years. Not in the Zed though happily.
