Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and to a BMW in general.

I recently bought a 2003 Z4 for what I think was a really good bargain.
It needs plenty of work and I'm considering whether to keep it or try to resell it for more once fixed.

I've started making YouTube videos earlier and I decided to record this process.

Here are the things I needs
  • Amplifier needed
    Back emblem needed
    Back trim pieces needed
    Coolant tank leak
    DISA Replacement needed
    Fog light bulbs needed
Gas fills halfway (maybe bad gague)
    Hissing noise when accelerating
    Key needs a battery
    Passenger power seats won't tilt
    Passenger power window acts up
    Quarter panel bumps
    Sport Button Dislocated
    Top won't open (orange light)
Trunk won't open with power unlock button
    Valve gasket replacement

I think it would be an interesting series so I figured it be a good idea.
Sorry about the windy day, but I'd love to hear any advice!

Thanks

After watching the video I have to edit my post, I think this car needs a lot of work.

Most of the guys in this forum are UK based and tbh such a car would be scrapped over here, now it all depends how much the parts cost and how easy to get them (I think this is quiet a rare car in the US though).

Good luck with your project anyway

Hi and welcome to the forum, certainly on point with a video rather than photos of your new car!

I'm not as clued up as benv6 is on prices of used zeds in your part of the world so can't comment whether you should have got it for free or not.

Welcome to the forum, nice Z and not to high mileage. The rear wing is bolt on, I would look at getting a good second hand one in the same colour and just swap it over. Nice to see it on you tube, sure it will keep you busy

Nice to see a z being saved! The food will be to do with the micro switch in the boot - try turning the two knobs that raise and lower the panel in the boot that is there to create more space in the boot.
