Hi,

Does anyone know what might cause the problem for 991d satellite b pillar battery lead screen implausible measured value?

Many thanks for any help/information.

A quick search on the Web found this good description of the airbag system here

Page 21 may well explain where your problem is with the code you got, pertains to the battery cable resistance measurement that is monitored in the shielding in the battery cable that runs from the battery connection in the boot to the front of the car and to the airbag satellite modules and main central airbag module behind the handbrake lever. In your case I wouild start looking at the connections to the satellite module and check the wiring for corrossion that may be there, it is prone to water damage if your roof motor cavity drain gets blocked and fills with water, the overflow can run down and wet the module as it sits below the cavity. Clean with electrical contact spray and try clearing the code to see if it comes back. Also check the cable at the battery, they do have a history of corroding and affecting the resistance value. Remember the battery connection is a pyro connection that blows apart should the vehicle be in an accident so treat it with care.
