90 deg wheather back = stickey steering back!

Beats me....mine has ran great. Either mine got fixed before I picked it up or it's a supreme example of bmw engineering and hasn't had this problem, vegas hits triple digits in the non summer months and I haven't had anything close

Hey AJ. You may have read on zpost (4um?) about my steering column getting replaced under warranty. The early electric steering columns had problems under heat where they would become "sticky". Mine got to the point where above 90F the wheel would not completely center on its own coming out of a corner. Might want to see if you can get it replaced before the warranty runs out.

Probably not the best explanation, but the expansion of surrounding plastic components can cause the steering column to rub. Don't worry it won't be a huge problem with our weather here.
