Did you get the motor done then ??

Sam it was great to meet you too fella .

Unfortunately having managed to get Sam's motor out and into the boot, it was apparent that it lacked any hydraulic fluid . After refilling and running the motor, the newly refilled resoviour emptied itself pretty quick and we could see it spraying out of the drivers side roof ram area . This means that either a pipe or the ram is faulty causing the leak . As the drain holes were blocked and it could clearly be seen that the ram was rusty, I'm inclined to think that the ram wall has given up the ghost and perished . To change either the ram or a pipe requires roof out procedure . I am moving house and was in the middle of packing last night but I agreed to see Sam to try and help, but after 2 hours it was getting dark and we both agreed that this job requires a longer time frame to complete than we had available last night, and potentially either a new ram or hydraulic pipe , neither of which we had last night .

So if anyone has a spare drivers side roof ram or drivers side hydraulic pipes , then please contact either Sam or myself .

First one I've not fixed on the day ,but then again I doubt anyone of the normal guys offering help here would have had a ram or pipes on the shelf and again it was interesting to meet new like minded people whilst offering some forum help with issues, and learning new stuff from them into the bargain .
