.

James your car looks fantastic, and I hope you continue to enjoy it and that you are well.

Yes let's lock down this post and start a cheerful one.

We went out today, to enjoy the better weather and gave it the beans so to speak, she is QUICK. :o

Glad it's coming together for you. be good to try something different wheels and rubber on your car to show how its full potential could be achieved.

Hi

Nope still have it ... went out last Sunday, beginning to warm to it, actually quite enjoyed it

also managed to get all my audio files converted from full WAV to WMA loss-less, the Z4 recognized this and showed the album artwork as well, which I was pleased with. None of that compressed MP3 for me

regards

I have filled the hard drive in mine with lossless too :D

How did you do that ?

Ah !
I've got that on my laptop but most of my music is on my iMac now.

If I've understood properly, you rip music ont a cd, then store it on the cars hard drive?

I see some time being spent infront of a screen. I need to see if I can get my iMac to put music files onto a usb without all those spotlight ._ files :x

Time to embrace UNIX.

dot_clean (to get rid of the existing ones) and rsync (to not get them in the first place) are your friend. In Terminal.app the command
rsync --delete-excluded --delete --itemize-changes --size-only --recursive --exclude '.*' ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes\ Media/ /Volumes/Car_Flash
will copy your entire iTunes Library onto a USB pen drive called Car_Flash

EDIT: forgot to put the excludes in the rsync command

I almost understand all of this.

I've had trouble in the past with getting my music onto USB and playing it back.

Now can someone tell me what the USB port in the glove box does?

It's the one you use to import music onto the hardrive of the upgraded radio

Hi James, sorry to interrupt this discussion, can I just ask a quick question, do you find the exhaust overly loud or is it no more than an M? Many thanks mate, hope you're doing ok.
