Well life is to short so I have placed an order with my OPC and deposit paid. I was concerned the value of my current 718 CGTS was going to fall through the floor so that prompted me to act quickly. Apparently PDK will be available around November time. I can keep pushing my build slot back if that's the transmission I want, however, whilst I have been really impressed with the PDK in my existing GTS, I cant help feeling a N/A 4 litre flat 6 would be better suited to a manual. It would take me back to my E85 MR and TVR days.

Oh yes..!! Top man Boyo....!! It’s gonna be hell resisting one too, they’re crying out for this lump despite the speed they’ll do. Congrats sire..! :driving:
Thanks John - go on you know you need one :D . If you are talking to your OPC in the near future perhaps you would ask them on their take as to when the PDK will become available to order.

Sold my GTS privately last October Boyo, we just didn’t gel, the engine note was just too much of a bore fest I’m afraid. Tbh I’m looking for a G29 2nd hand but now that’s on hold with this 4.0 GTS coming out. I read there’s not going to be a PDK at all which I can’t believe as they’re the easily the most specced tranny, and then I’ve read there is going to be PDK around November time. I’ll give the guy I dealt with a ring, see if he knows anything. I can’t really afford another one but damn....a 4.0 naturally aspirated flat 6.....

My build spec is provisional at the moment so I have gone for Gentian Blue with the wheels painted in Satin Platinum. I am tempted by the Python Green, however, my wife doesn't like green cars and I don't want to upset the apple cart. Interior is a tough one. On my existing GTS, I went for the interior package with carmine red stitching, however, its a £3.5K option and I am wary of loading it with to many options as you will be getting close to base 718 GT4 prices. Nice dilemma to have though :D

Gentian blue is a nice colour, seems to change a lot depending on the light. Will look great with the satin platinum wheels.

I’ve always liked the GTS interior package, feels ‘right’ for the car. That said, as it’s not a limited run like the GT4 I think you’re less constrained by the perceived ‘must haves’ of the model. I’d far sooner put the money in to the seats and paint colour and just tickle up the interior with some snazzy belts and a couple of other options.

Like you say, lovely dilemma to have! :D
