718 Boxster 25

Available now for £73k before options. Paying homage to the first Boxster 25yrs ago in the blurry pic... this GTS 4.0, 1250 units will be sold with only the red interior and wheels available but all other options can be ticked as per a regular GTS. I’m sure a few will be bought and stored for a rainy day sometime in the future by well heeled fans, no idea if it’ll become collectible or not, sadly I don’t own a crystal ball. It’s ok, I kinda like it, couldn’t live with the all red interior though, if I could afford a new GTS it wouldn’t be this, one for the nostalgic I think.

Thoughts...?

Lovely car, true, but a bit of joke calling it “homage to the first boxster” at that price. What happened to the no frills entry level Porsche experience?

Lovely motor :happyclap: As much as I love a Red interior (My Zed has one) I think they have gone a bit OTT with that. :(

A few are crumbling about the two exhaust pipes either side of centre too as opposed to the single centre one of the original. They could have used the entry level car to keep costs down with a centre pipe but then folk would have REALLY kicked off that it had a 2litre 4pot turbo.....In an anniversary car.....that would have gone down like a lead balloon...!! So it had to be the GTS platform, no other choice. Tbh I think it’s nice they’ve actually done one.

All the roll back porsches seem to hold there cash well.

Cant see why this would be any different....

Proper engine in it too,if you like a Boxster then this is a nice thing..

Hmmm. I really don't like the gold side air intake vents and the gold detail on the front apron. Only available in silver, black and white and you can have a black interior if the Bordeaux red is to over powering. I think its half a job and that's coming from a Porsche convert :fuelfire:

Correct on the interior Boyo, I missed that, I thought it was red only....

That's a lovely thing. This isn't ever a daily, so the all-red interior is a special occasion thing. I agree, with a manual you'll always be the right side of £50k for this car even after 3 years.

:o

£50k Angelus...?? I’d be horrified if it dropped £30k in 3 years for one with a few toys chucked at it no...? I wouldn’t expect, say, an Agate grey normal GTS with some toys amounting to £80k to drop anymore than £65k in 3 years, and that’s bottom price at that.

Maybe I’m in cuckoo land I’m not sure, but surely these 4.0 cars will hold their money quite well....?
