Hi guys,

I'm upgrading to a 35is so have my trusty facelift roadster is up for grabs. I've been offered £5,300 as part ex which I think is criminal but I'll take it if the car isn't sold privately before then, given all the upgrades which the garage doesn't take into account I'd like to achieve around £6000 for this. She is located in Cornwall (near Falmouth)

Car has served me brilliantly over the past few years and whilst it's quite high mileage (105k) it's wanted for nothing and has been covered by a BMW warranty the entire time so anything that needed doing has had no expense spared.

Registered new 22.10.2007

Will be serviced & MOT'd as of monday (in garage as we speak waiting for a slot)

Since I've owned it all the services were carried out at Ocean BMW, prior to that on indy and the remaining two at Wood of Bournemouth BMW

18787 (oil) - Wood (bmw)
36322 (insp 1)- Wood (bmw)
55570 (oil)- Bristol Street Motors (indy)
71140 (insp 2) - Ocean (BMW)
86464 (oil) - Ocean (BMW)

next service due is a distance related oil service which is being completed on monday

Car is in Silver Grey with black leather interior and silver aluminium trim

The interior has heated, electric black leather sports seats in great condition with minimal driver bolster wear - always treated with gliptone leather care and scuffmaster, it has full bluetooth, pro sat nav, m-sports steering wheel, zhp gear knob, gaptech+ hood control (one touch and remote control hood), AC schnitzer alloy pedals, Dice Mediabridge MBR1500 unit (stream bluetooth music/aux/usb etc..), Hertz Amp and hertz speakers (amazing setup well worth the £900 i paid for it), wind deflector, stubby aerial, 2 sets of keys, auto head lights, rain sensitive windscreen wipers

Exterior the car has the very desirable aero side skirts and 224 alloys, with two new rear tyres and front tyres at about 40-50% of their life.

Rear has MM alloy exhaust tips and front and rear 'm-sport' plate holders.

Being honest the car has bad points, hence the price:

As I knew I was going to be part exing this car I didn't bother shelling out for the following to be fixed otherwise the price would be much higher, slight scratch (smaller than a 5 pence piece) on the rear bumper, she requires new rear discs (should replace the pads at the same time), one rear spring has snapped off right at the start (first 1-2cm) of the spring, air con needs re-gassing, it has been used as a motorway mileage muncher so has stone chips and slight lacquer peel on the front, also the two side clips for the front bumper broke after grazing a badger! That's probably the worst part of the car, a new front bumper or some TLC to the existing unit will put it back to its former glory. Just to be clear the car is still being driven daily so the front bumper issue is purely cosmetic.

here are a couple of snaps, as I said the car is in the garage waiting for her service/MOT so if you want anymore specific photos it will have to wait till after the weekend

well I pick up the new car next week from Stoke so happy to entertain meeting along the way if that helps. Obviously would like to show people round the car and give extended test drives etc.. but meeting along the way is an option if anyone is that keen :driving:

Id take the £5300 px I paid a lot less than that for my 3.0i Z4 and only had 78k miles. Traders will always mark it down by about £1000 imo but private sale could wait forever just to make the £6000 its only few hundrerd more

Could be interesting then as stoke is a fair bit closer, when you picking up the new car? and any photos of the front bumper so I can get an idea of the work involved?

I'm afraid not - certainly not until late monday/early tuesday, basically it has a fair few stone chips and the two plastic side clips which screw into the 'wing' need replacing, I did have the part codes from realoem but can't find them now. To fix the lacque peel you'd need to polish it down and respray it, I was quoted £75 for that but the guy was a mate so dunno what the going rate would be. Never bothered me that much :D

Missed this comment, care to share you spec?

I went back through all the classifieds here and this was by far and away the lowest price ever posted

I'm guessing yours is potentially preface lift, no nav etc?

Feel free to let me know though :-)

Can't compare 3.0i with 3.0Si & especially one with aeros & 224s fitted

I hope you don't mind I edited your post slightly ;) never let the truth get in the way of a good story though eh?

thanks I value my online persona so wouldn't want to ever tarnish that, so forewarned is forearmed etc..

just FYI this http://www.redlinespecialistcars.co...site-visit&_ga=1.96478488.60842979.1444833350 is the car I've chosen to replace it, paid for and can't wait to pick it up, if I don't manage to sell the car then I guess if anyone can get to me before next Friday we can exchange items for cash, but I'd rather sell a well loved car as a package

That's them, about £25 each still though

Good price though even with a little work required.

Yeah I know, i felt like a very small fish when it came to talking about the car, the salesman was very kind though and definitely made me feel like a valuable punter, i'm sure this car will be like 5% of monthly commission - if that

That's some find for a nice 35is. Nice mileage, spec and price.

I'm on the prowl for a nice one like this.

It looks a beaut, enjoy!!

Let me know when you've taken some more pictures, and sort me out with a few details on the tyre brand/rough tread and I might take this off of you... It's a nice like for like upgrade on mine. I've just always fancied a facelift.

No offense was intended I work in the motor trade for a main UK dealer in the Midlands so wasn't shocked at the value was more my point. £5300 is probably spot on what its worth trade as it will be valued on age, condition and mileage. As you mentioned the car is not in A1 condition maybe its a good deal. It saves you the hassle of private sellers viewing and time selling. If trade had offered you £2k less I could see your point but its a matter of a few hundred pound and your getting the car you want as upgrade.

custom stainless exhaust, CSl alloys, HID headlamps, KW suspension, Drilled/grooved brakes good deal for £4k that's my spec
