64k miles - what should I look out for?

Hi all

I could potentially pick up my first Z4 on Saturday. 3.0SE, black, red leather, 64k miles.

The dealer has offered me a 3 month warranty soat this stage, I'm going to try and push for more once I've seen the car.

At this kind of mileage, what should I be looking for and what should have been done so far?

Many thanks,

Scott.

What a great post. Thanks for pointing me in its direction.

That provides me with a great checklist for looking the car over, but is there any major work that should have been completed at 60k miles or will need doing at 70k for example.

Glad the check list link is useful - also another one produced by 007ml who has also produced a list. Link below;

Thank you.

Is it common practice for forum members to help look over cars before purchase? I'm based in Essex and viewing a car in Peterborough on Saturday.

Sorry don't know mine is on 38k and just showing that Inspection 1 is due. All servicing is condition based and indicated by the car itself based on how it's driven. The sequence is Oil, Inspection 1, Oil, Inspection 2 then repeated. When you switch the ignition on it shows how many miles to the next Oil/Inspection. I would expect the one you're looking at to have at least 2 x Oil and Inspection 1 shown in the service book plus brake fluid change every 2 years.

+ oil is supposed to be changed every 2 years as well!
