I thought it was about time I posted in here and introduced myself.

Following my thread on whether to buy a coupe or a roadster i chose the roadster which I've had 1 week now. I can confirm that I made the right choice (it's sunny today, ask me tomorrow).

This is my third BMW in as many years. The first was a 1 series which blew up, the next was an e90 3 series which bored me to tears. I was a bit put of BMWs by these experiences and was originally looking for a Boxster. However, A chance test drive changed everything and I suddenly realise where I had went wrong with previous BMWs...... they were 2 cylinders short of an engine.

The car is a 2003 3.0SE manual in sterling gray. It has covered 53000 miles and has had 3 owners since new. The first owner was a local business man, he sold the car to his brother after 4 years. He then kept the car for another 4 years before trading it to a local indy. The car was bought from there by one of the directors of Supagard which is situated just round the corner from the garage. This guy had the car as a toy and took very good care of it. Being in his line of work he had the paintwork detailed and applied one of their own products, a polyzylonol coating. This guy only kept the car a year a he'd always kept old Jags before and decided he wanted another. He sold it through the dealer he bought it from and that's where I bought it from. It was a nice deal and the previous owner (the guy from Supagard) even came in to meet me when I picked up the keys.

Anyway, I believe picks are mandatory. I've not got any decent ones where I have the perfect combination of sunshine and a clean car so here's a quick snap I took on my drive home from work the other night. 18 miles of twisting, undulating, resurfaced country roads with blue skys and all the other traffic on the motorway. Bliss.

Hope your enjoying your new car, like most of us I guess you are waiting for summer to finally arrive.

And yes it needs a stubby :)

Better late than never!

That's when you put the roof up :poke: :D

Fitted a stubby on Friday night. It's improved the radio reception, given a 10% increase in fuel efficiency and added another 5bhp (guess which statement is true). All for only £7.

Mowflow, well done on the right choice, you will not regret it

And formally, welcome - get yourself registered with the Exclusive Roadster Club in Adamski's sig :D

Missed your intro - welcome Mowflow

Noticed your postings on e90post: you've gone one way (e90 > Z4), I've gone the other (Z4 > e90)
