Well done Mark. It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife at Cadwell last year. Maybe see you at another track day this summer? Especially as you are an award-winner!

Finances permitting would love to do another one, maybe Cadwell this Spring :driving:

Nice one Flimper congrats!

As neighbors we should organize a hoon

Yes, a Berkshire/Surrey meet would be a success I'm sure, get that Sussex lot to do some driving to the start point for once!

Congratulations!
Sadly I was a deluded business user for nearly a decade so had a tractor motor in my BM's - I just wish I had seen the light sooner, although at least I did in the end!
I must have similar spec - individual paint and heated seats but bu**er-all else! Except a roof :poke:
Local meet sounds like a great idea - I can't be more than 5 miles away.
Keep enjoying it!

Congratulations Flimper :)

I'll be 8 years in mine in March! Still nothing I would change her for...

Cheers, wonder if anybody still has their M from new after PVR moved to the dark side...

I'm sorry but I joined the forum after the 'flimper spec' saying was born. I've heard it used quite a few times but never sure what it meant....can you enlighten me :D

Basically, it is a Z without satnav, so no monitor, no board computer additional functions, no phone book on the screen, no decent iPod integration with an Intravee, no radio station information on the screen and so on. Also, generally a bit light on extras .

An additional saying of "flimpering about" therefore means driving around with no idea of where you are going as there is no satnav in the car. The most classic case with flimper (Mark) driving the opposite direction from the lunch stop as his drop-on-your-dash nav system could not find it during a London meet, but the BMW systems could

All in all, it is just poking a bit of fun at flimper and he takes it well despite the fact that I depreciated his car by at least 50% or so :D

Happy Anniversary for Last Thursday Flimper.

Wish I had Flimper spec, The Sat Nav is useless and expensive to fix, in the Zed. :P

I've had mine 8 years from this October...... still love the thing like from day 1. she is what i would describe as in concourse condition, its pristine.
