6 CD Changer Problem

Hi I am new here and hope someone can help. I have a 2003 2.5i Roadster with the 6 CD Changer. All seems well but it will only play about half of the first track on each disc and then gives up. Try to skip on a track or two is no good. Go to Next CD works but then stops again.

Any thoughts or solutions gratefully received.

Fit an aux connection. The CD cassettes are "problematic" ............number of threads
