5th Gear

I use it when I'm stuck behind something slow, and have nothing better to do, then select every gear while approaching highway speeds

I use it when stuck behind slow traffic. Also when the engine is cold I go through all the gears to keep the revs low.

I cruise at 120kph on the highway in 6th. Coincidentally that's the absolute worst drone range for my RPI exhausts. Thus if i have a headache or a passenger and i dont wish for them to lose their hearing i drop down to 5th and raise the revs slightly to stop the drone...

Tend to use 5th from around 30mph, 6th is too high for that.

The 3.0 is so flexible that I do the block changes too, 1st to 3rd, then straight to 5th. The best manual I've ever driven

I find it really depends on the situation. I don't really have a particular pattern.

5th gets used on the motorway to slow down if I get in a queue with dimwits that press the brakes for no reason if they see a brake light 5 cars in front.

I use it when I run out of fourth at 8,000rpm

+1 or cruising at around 100 kph.

its easy enough to cog down a couple for hard overtaking and you get to do a couple snickity snik b haaap bhaaap on the way to Brrrrrrrr brrrrrr.

I don't find 5th gets much use and block shift from 4th to six when cruising, its handy for 40mph zones I guess.
