Is that because it was boring?

Every time I got to watch it all they ever did was thrash the cars around the same track, even non sports cars (2 series mpv)
 
I was never a regular viewer but there was one episode where one of the presenters (guy with long hair and a beard) took a Ford Kuga round an off-road course and smashed it to pieces, proudly announcing at the end 'I did £7,000 worth of damage!' - as if that was a good thing and we were supposed to be impressed. I saw another episode where the same guy flew to Maranello, picked up a new Ferrari, drove to the Nurburgring and did a number of laps. I don't know quite how they managed it but it was 10 minutes of tedious TV. Plus VBH driving everything from a VW UP to a Lamborghini sideways round the same bit of track...
Won't be missed by me.
 
I didn't mind it. Two things I will remember is the crash between a Volvo Estate and Renault Modus. Quite an eye opener. And the other was VBH overtaking a lorry before and after Nitros kit fitted to a Golf diesel. What a difference.

I watched it when it was on 5. Wasn't great but it was worth watching if you're a petrol head.
 
Thought for a moment you'd swapped it with 4th by accident and not noticed :P
 
The new top gear could do with her on board,straight swop for Chris Evans.A bit of glamour plus she can drive.

She does have a personality, which the others on 5th gear lack.
 
I liked fifth gear for when top gear got too silly. That said I have definately watched a lot more TG than Fitch gear.
