Im sure it was 500 points? and 1 point gained per litre .. maybe I'm recollecting incorrectly. I did do the maths at one point..

Sorry I'm wrong and also for some reason im only a Shell Drivers club Member -
900 points redeemed from my account for £4.50 in vouchers. 900 points = 900 litres of fuel at an average of £1.40 per litre = £1260 worse than I thought!
If I were a vpower member (you need to fill up at least 150 vpower litres in a calendar quarter to qualify) I would get 2 points per litre meaning to get a £4.50 voucher would cost £630
I think the redemption figures are correct but its hard to tell as I can only see what it says on my statement..:

To do 150 litres (33 UK gallons) at approximately 29mpg would mean approximately 960 miles of driving per quarter!

When I'm not working from home, I do 600-800 miles a week (2-3 tanks) - and even then the Shell Driver's Club wasn't worth the hassle.
I'm not one to hunt around for a 1p/litre saving either, but it would have been daft not to have taken advantage of today's offer when I needed petrol anyway.

OK, seems like i'm the only one that's been ripped off today! Just logged a complaint call with Shell - at matter of principle!
