Evening all!
Recently had the dreaded trifecta of dash lights and scan tool reveals 5DF0 and 5DF1 as the culprits. Wheel speed sensors and steering angle sensor all look to be working and reading correctly, so my assumption is the brushes in the ABS pump.
However on inspection, it appears that the pump has already been played with previously, as it has a pair of keeper plates retained by screws as opposed to the usual staked aluminium retaining method I’ve seen elsewhere.
Has anyone see this before? Is it the hallmark of a known refurbisher? It appears that with a bit of good fortune I may be able to remove the pump motor from the valve housing without removing the rest of the ABS assembly. And if it is known who might have repaired it in the past, perhaps it might be within some kind of warranty, one can hope!
Anyway, photo attached for you all to peruse…
Thanks!
