So heres what i am planing to do:

Wiper blades
Cabin Filter
Oil/Filter (5w30 full syn)
Spark Plugs
Check brakes/fluid levels
scrub, scrub, scrub

Extra =)
Paint Brake Calipers while i have the wheels off
Install first aid box under the seat
Install Alarm

I am going to put a clutch in it at about 75k so i will change the trany fluid then. So the question is do i need to add anything else to my list of to do's?

Also my roof's locking mechanism sticks every now and then. How or better yet where do i lube that to fix it?
Lastly, do i have to get the dealer to activate my alarm or can i do it my self once i install it?

Thanks guys,
Nick

You might want to think about changing the differential oil. It's only about 1.2qts total.
It is supposed to be lifetime but I call it insurance....

Well i did it all only to find out in a newer thread that i need to do the VANOS as well, it would have been nice to do that while i had all that stuff taken out already for the spark plugs. Owell, If anyone is around San Antonio and wants to do the VANOS and paint brake calipers with me i will be doing that as soon as the stuff comes in. PS the cabin filter is a !@#$%^ to get out! That will be a once every 50k thing!

cabin filter is like three screws for the panel and slide of the filter housing... I haven't replaced mine although i should lol

do the tranny and diff.... doesn't hurt. I did mine around 58k. why do you think u need a clutch at 75k? these go for a LONGGGG time!

Ok so to re-list what i have done

Wiper blades
Cabin Filter
Oil/Filter (5w30 full syn)
Spark Plugs
Check brakes/fluid levels
Install first aid box under the seat
Install Alarm (still trying to figure out how to program it, i will not give in to the dealer :x )
Vanos kit (with new valve cover gaskets and other various new pieces)
IPOD adapter

--Left on my wish list in order--
Rims/Tires (it still has the orginals RFT's with 57k on them)
Brakes pads/Drilled rotors
Paint Calipers
Suspension
Exhaust
Clutch @ about 75
Valve for Transmission
Trans Filter/oil
Diff oil

Exteior
Alpina rear spoiler
Front areo bumper

What am I missing... any other maintenance i should do now or should i show my truck some love and do all it's maintenance (it only has 30k).

SeaFoam I have heard of that. Where do i pour it in? The guy at autozone told me to put it in the gas tank but i have heard you pour it directly into the engine somewhere ???

To clean the upper end with SeaFoam, you need to pull a vacuum line. Normally its the brake Vacuum line that does the trick.

Get the engine warmed up the NORMAL operating temperature.
With the engine running, SLOWLY pore at least a 1/2 of a can (i use a whole can) into the vacuum line.

The engine will sputter and want to die, but don't let it. Just slow down your pore rate... Once you are done poring, shut off the engine.

The can says wait 10 minutes but I usually wait 30min to an hour to really soften up the crud in the intake upper end.....

Now start the engine. Give it a minute to warm back up and get the oil circulating again. Then you can start to rev the engine...

Depending on how much crud is in the upper end, you will get a white smoke out of the exhaust... Mine was so thick, it was amazing... run the car until the smoke goes away. A second treatment may be necessary..

I also threw a CEL code but it went away after I shut the car down and then restarted it back up. I think it was a misfire code...

ran great after that....

Pardon my ignorance but whats the part circled in yellow? I had previously noticed an unused mounting bracker under my bonnet but now I see you have something fitted there... Some sort of filter? And yes I have the 3.0i...
