This is surely the most expensive Z4M ever! Whose going to play £50k! I know these cars will be collectables in years to come, but I think these guys are trying to cash in a bit early...

Lol,nice one
Yeah,very hopeful,but one day,who knows.

I bet those buying second hand,lo mileage e30 m3 evos at around 15-20k back in the late 90s,early 00's wouldn't have been expecting them to rise to around 95k in 15 years or so.,as they are these days

Ah right...first time I've seen it and I've been looking at Z'ds on AT nearly everyday for the last 6-8 months.

What the consensus on whether that 'concourse' Hexagon example has had a service in the 4 years it's been up for sale, and do we think it's ever had an inspection?

It's probably the lowest mile ZM available, so I think it's not that badly priced considering what other stuff is selling for....a CSL with that miles would be £120k easily...

It's a collector purchase, so not aimed at us really...

Why would it need one????
You wouldn't service it unless you actually plan to run it, and I'd imagine its been sat in the showroom forever.

Because it won't have a 'full service history' if it hasn't had a minimum of brake fluid and oil services every 2 years - as per the owner's manual.

...and we're always deriding sellers with incomplete service histories on their 'money no object', 'enthusiast-owned', 'garage queens' :P

Letting a car sit isnt good for a car.
Its not enough even to change the fluids, every now and then they have to flow through the pipes so to speak.

No surprise by the price, it is Imola Red afterall

So in order to buy my M I sold my 335i back to my local BMW dealer.

The guy who I dealt with was the "head buyer" for the dealers in that particular chain, and used to be a director of Cronk back in day (If any of you remember that dealer chain).

He advised me to steer clear of any early 2006 cars in RED because all the original dealer demonstrators came in that colour.

True story!!!

Wonder if it's had its running in service, IMHO waste of a fantastic car as it's not been enjoyed by anyone. Imagine the zed you could have if you spent 15k on a used and spent 35k on maintenance and upgrades. :driving:

Not sure of the point you are making and why would he say that ?

Aah, mickey taking. Clearly all demo cars in red are thrashed to within inches of thier lives without being run in.

Actually, when I worked at a Ford dealership, all the XR3i's were thrashed, no matter what colour! (although most were in red as it happens).
