5 digit postcodes

Morning all,
I have 2016 Satnav Data Disk and new roads are on my screen, so it is reasonably up to date with regards to the map data. However, I can only search on 5 digit post codes which is a proper pain in the bum. Do I need to update the firmware on the Satnav? What do I need to do please guys? There are some related threads on this but they are all very old.

Official BMW satnav discs don't allow longer postcodes.

It's one of the reasons I mainly use a TomTom stuck to my dash.
 
Thanks, oh dear. Is there a way to work around this lack by using none-official disks? Any reputable supplier of such disks? Again, some threads from five years ago but anyone doing such disks that is reputable please?
 
I have used them for my z4 works well, but have had to revert the firmware version to standard bmw as I have a parrot kit installed and the speed camera warnings interfere with the kits usb input, so just use the updated map disc
 
You're not allowed to discuss illegal discs on this forum, the mods will close this thread down shortly I expect.
