I’ve never done one of these before, but now that I’ve hit a landmark 5000th post, thought I would share some highlights of zed ownership with the forum.
This is the best car forum I’ve been a member of. I’ve been on a forum for each car I’ve owned. There have been some uninvolving forums such as Bimmerforum (for my E46), and some nasty forums which didn’t encourage any type of community spirit (Saxo Sports Club
- I was 19 gimme a break...).
The Z4 forum is completely different. I've met some really nice people on here, and hope to meet more at the National Meet. I've made some friends through the forum, and found it to be THE place for all zed related knowledge
Onto the highlights....
One of the best parts of forum membership for me is the meets. I’ve been to 4 meets now, one of which I organised. I’ve met some great people, and the odd PITA ( Nosa  ). Some of roads covered on the runs that I've done, I would never have otherwise driven. There are some truly magnificent roads in Scotland, and I can now say I've driven them.
Here are some of the pics which were taken whilst out putting faces to forum user names....
Z4 SCOTLAND MEET
My first meet....
Didn’t take many pictures on this run, which is a shame. Some great roads, and met some nice people. Gave me an appetite for the next run.

TAYSIDE MEET
I organised this one, and managed to get a semi decent turnout. The meet was in February, so daylight hours were at a premium. It was a short run, but good nonetheless. Met some familiar faces from the previous run, and some new faces too.

WILLY WAVERS MOFFAT MEET
This was a weekend long meet. First overnight stop during a meet.
En route to Moffat – March 2012-05-
Portpatrick on St Patrick’s Day

Quick photo before leaving Portpatrick

Mini meet – April 2012
ZermattV and Adamski on Cairn O’Mount summit

APPLECROSS

On top of the meets, whilst I haven’t done a great deal of work (yet) on the car, I have my next three projects just waiting for me to start them. I have some newly refurbed 108s sitting in the garage, and some clear indicators and angel eyes. That should keep me busy over the coming weeks.
This is a fantastic forum, and a great credit to the Mods and Admin for running it so well :ilz4f:
